Prepping meals and packing food ends up being the most stressful part of camping, especially for beginning campers. What do you make? Which snacks should you bring? What can you make over a campfire? Nobody wants to spend hours cooking while they’re camping! Here are some easy meal ideas and a simple stress-free camping food list.

Camping Food List

Tent vs. RV Camping

The first thing to consider is if you’re going tent or RV camping. Obviously if you’re camping in an RV you’ll have access to a fridge, oven, and stove. This opens up your options. Our advice? Keep it simple even if you’re camping in an RV. Camping is about being outside, not worrying about what you’re going to make for dinner. You don’t want to stress about a recipe or getting back to camp early enough to prep your meal. Just plan on making easy, quick, and filling meals that everyone will love.
