new or pre-owned RVIf you own an RV, chances are, you’ve got a few things to be grateful for. A new or pre-owned RV gives you a certain kind of freedom that other vehicles can’t touch. That said, spending a whole lot of time away from towns and civilization can be challenging too. That’s why there are a few things every RVer is always grateful for:

The Open Road

Where there’s a road, there’s a way! Every RVer has a certain reverence for the road, because it represents freedom and adventure. Craving a beach vacation? Want to get lost in the woods? All you need is the right road and some fuel and you’ll be there in no time. When you own an RV, roads are the path to the lifestyle you crave.

Gas Stations

When you’ve been on an empty road for hours, there’s nothing quite like the site of a service station. Offering snacks, drinks, a rest and the assurance that you won’t be running out of gas in the middle of nowhere, a gas station is like an oasis in the desert.

Canned Food

While canned chili might not be the stuff of gourmet restaurants, it’s always assuring to have an RV pantry stocked with staples that won’t spoil or become a squirrel’s next meal. Of course, every can of food tastes better cooked over an open fire.

Showers (and Water Hook-Ups)

If you’re a former tent camper turned RVer, there’s no doubt you thoroughly appreciate your RV’s water hook-ups, shower and other, well, plumbing services. A nice shower can feel like a luxury when you’re camping in a quiet nook of the forest.

Can Openers

If you’ve ever been caught without one, you’ll know why most RVers are so thankful for them!

Maps

If you love the open road but are, cough, directionally challenged, there’s no doubt you’re grateful for maps. Because of these simple, cheap pieces of paper, you’re free to explore the world without fear of getting lost (or with only moderate fear of getting lost).

Your turn! What are you most thankful for?
