Construction features
We’ve built a reputation for superior construction, craftsmanship, top-quality materials and innovative manufacturing techniques. The result? Unmatched resale value and peace of mind in an RV that’s built to handle whatever the road throws at it, while outlasting everything but your memories.
EXTREME DURABILITY
You want your toy hauler to be tough enough to handle whatever the road throws at it. That’s where the MOR/ryde suspension system comes in. Replacing typical steel equalizers, MOR/ryde uses rubber springs to create a smooth ride while helping isolate road shock, so ZX will hold up for the long haul.
BALL BEARING GUIDES
Our residential-style ball bearing drawer guides provide smooth operation and full-drawer extension for a stronger, more substantial drawer and a true home-like feel.
PREMIUM STEEL FRAME
The Jayco I-Class structural steel I-beam frame makes Recon ZX stronger and more durable than our competitor’s standard welded I-beam frames, which can warp over time.
POLAR BARRIER
Enjoy superior thermal performance and greater energy savings with Polar Barrier insulation.
OLD WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP
Jayco’s dedicated production team includes Amish craftsmen who build with well-honed woodworking techniques passed down for generations.

About the Manufacturer
Jayco, Inc. was founded in 1968 by a man of strong faith and vision. The late Lloyd J. Bontrager, family man and inventor, felt he could build the world a better RV. He longed to create a company of his own, one that clearly reflected his ideals: a company where everyone would be treated as "family". With encouragement from his wife Bertha, Lloyd started Jayco on their farm--in two chicken houses and a barn! He developed his own prototype camping trailer and a unique lifter system for fold-down campers, the basic design of which is patented and still in use today. By the end of 1968, his fledgling company of 15 employees had sold 132 fold-down camping trailers. Today, Jayco's "family" of employees has grown to nearly 1,600 people, while more than 25,000 people join our "extended family" of customers each year. Jayco, Inc. develops and manufactures a full-line of recreation vehicles at its company headquarters in rural Middlebury, Indiana. With a history dating back to 1968, Jayco's mission remains unchanged—to build exemplary RV's and provide customers with extraordinary service after the sale.
